Notes for Roger FitzRichard
2nd husband of Alice de Vere.
Any relation to the other Lords of Warkworth? Clavering? FitzRoger? Burke's Extinct peers makes him the son of Richard FitzEustace and DNB says of the latter's (in his father Eustace's article) that he was ancestor of the Claverings. K-R says his father was Richard; she also says he was described by Wm de Vere, his bro-in-law, as a "nepos" of earl Hugh Bigod.
Burke says he married Alianor, dau of Henry of Essex. CP says he married Alice de Vere who also married Henry of Essex. Round is the same as CP and says he was the ancestor of the Claverings. K-R also says he m. Alice de Vere. Sanders traces his descendants through the holders of Warkworth.
