Notes for Mary Moore
In 1841 census, she is down as born outside county and b. in Scot, Irel or Foreign Parts. Her age was then given as 55; the burial notice in 1850 says she was 67 - near enough to be right, bearing in mind that they would have had no records?
See notes for Wm Bartholomew on her identification from the Scots Origins database.

Her death certificate says she was 67 (so born in 1783 give or take a year), the wife of William Bartholomew and she died of chronic (?) disease of liver and Henllis jaundice for 6 weeks and Ascites for 3 weeks. The informant was Ann Cheney of Kentford who was present at the death and marked the register with a cross on the 13 June 1850.

There are only two Mary Moore births from 1780 to 1790 on the OPR births and baptisms:
No Date Surname Forename Parent Names City
Frame No. Sex Parish County GROS
1 28/05/1780 MOORE MARY ALEXANDER MOORE/JANET FERGUSON FR313 (FR313) F STEWARTON /AYR 616/00 0030 0077
2 05/09/1780 MOORE MARY THOMAS MOORE MARY BEATON FR374 (FR374) F GREENOCK NEW OR MIDDLE /RENFREW 564/01 0020 0182
Neither looks like this Mary with a mother Elizabeth: they are not close enough to the calculated birth year of 1783 nor are they close to her marriage place of Dirleton.

Curiously no daughters have been found for her and William. Only the four 4 sons have baptismal records, with 2 spelled Bartholomew and 2 Bartholemew and only Jeremiah was at home for the 1841 census.

Her burial at Suffolk parish was:
Year: 1850
Name: Mary Bartholomew
Abode: Kentford
When buried: June 14th
Age: 67
Officiant: Wm Birch, Curate.
This is a second source for her birth year of c. 1783.

Notes for William & Mary (Family)
The record is:
"William Bartholemew and Mary Moore both in this Parish gave in their names for proclamation March 23rd 1816 and were regualry proclaimed. Witnesses Joseph Alland and James Henderson."
Marriage would have been some days after this.
Dirleton is a village and parish in East Lothian to the east of Edinburgh.
