Notes for Joan du Marain
TFPL, Feb 2011: CP II, 448, note (g) says she was heir in her issue to Sir Stephen de Murreys (or Marisco) in 1390-1, of whom she was gt-aunt, who owned large estates in England and Ireland. Possibly this was through her brother John. However she died bef 1225 (when her husband married Rohese de Verdon) and it is odd that her gt-nephew should have survived for a further 175 years. Something is not quite right here.
