She is not to be found on the 1901 census; weird as she was alive then.
No birth record on FreeBMD of any ‘Gertrude H’ incl Brown from 1849 to 1850. Her baptism is not to be found in the published transcript of St Mary, Putney parish church. (But see above, 2020)

Her executor was her brother Ernest B Trotter. Her Admon gave her date and place of birth and that she was a spinster.
The admon was dated 30th May 1925 and recorded that she died a spinster on 11th April 1925 having lived and died at 266 Gloucester Terrace, Hyde Park, London. Previously she had lived at 7 Devonshire Terrace, Hyde Park.
Her executors were:
Her brother Ernest Balfour T.,
Her nephew and his son Stuart Ernest T.
In her will of 16th Jan 1922, she lists, as well as the two executors:

Her godsons Balfour Anthony T. (son of bro. Ernest Balfour T.)
and James Sampson T. (1st son of her nephew A W L Trotter who was kia in 1916),
