Apparently the Times has a birth notice in 1890 - or was this a separate child?  Yes, has to be a later child, if anything, and probably Ina Bianca.

There are far too many Carter births in FreeBMD for Q1 of 1884 to begin to find the child’s name.

But he and four siblings were found from the 1891 census and FreeBMD then quickly released the full names.

This advert appeared in The Harrow Observer and Gazette of 17 April 1952:

“Persuant to the Trustee Act 1925

The above address of Hampton Hill was used for a search in the 1939 Register for wives with the above forenames of Laura A, Amelia L and Gertude C, though I searched for 20 miles around Hampton:

Findings:

1. Laura L A Carter of Fulham, married no husband present, with two children; she was born on 30 Oct 1892.

2. Amelia L Carter had her husband with her, a brick layer & House painter.  Definitely not her.

3. Gertude C Carter of Southgate, had her husband with her, so not her either.

4. Gertrude C Carter of Epsom, no husband at home, no children and born 1884 and found in Epsom Park Hospital, probably not her.

I don’t think any of these were his family.

Sounds like he had but the one child.
