In 1901 he was at Eton, aged 13 and born at Penrith, Cumberland.
Apparently he spent the way through a significant inheritance and died almost completely broke.
In 1911 he was staying with his aunt Mary Woodman (she was Mary Skelton Busfeild, sister of his father and who m. Robert Townley Woodman) in Becknockshire (Wales?).
