Notes for Major Ellis Houlton Ward
There are 11 Ellis Wards on FreeBMD between 1850 and 1880 but none look like his birth record. 1901 census?
In the 1911 census he said he was 70 and thus born around 1841. So he was a miniscule 25 years older than his missus.
His birth index was immediately found:
Name: Mother's Maiden Surname:
WARD, ELLIS HOULTON HOULTON
