Notes for Alice Maud Hammond
There are several Alice Maud Hammond births in 1880-1882 and I have no idea which might be her.
Might she be the Maud B P Powys who is in the 1837 OnLine death registry of 1920 for Oct to Dec, ref Bath 5c 609? Probaably not as there is an Alice M A Powys in ditto for 1942.
Her parents were Lousia Ann and Charles Hammond. they married in Port Elizabeth. He died in January 1881. She died in 53 Clyde Street, Port Elizabth. This was all from her mother's death certificate which names Alice Maud as her youngest child.
Her husband Death Notice, registered by their son Frank, states that she died on 7 Mar 1927. So the above suggestions are to be ignored.
