Notes for Sir Christopher Heydon
Surely a descendant of Sir Henry H. of Baconsthorpe.
And of the two Sir Christopher H.s in Faris' Plantagenet Ancestry, p. 121. Yes, from the early Norfolk Visitations.

Burke's Extinct baronetcies, p. 152, shows a John Heydon (b.1511) as the father of both Sir Christopher Heydon and Elizabeth who was 3rd wife of Thos Darcy of Tolleshunt (Dracy).

And Burke's Commoners shows a Sir John Heydon of Baconsthorpe who had a dau Elizabeth who m. Robert Bedingfeld in the time of Q Elizabeth.

The 1664 Norfolk Visitation, p. 169 (Vol 2), shows an Ann Dodge who m. a Sir Christopher Heydon of Baconsthorpe.  She d. in 1642 aged 73 and he in 1623.  Might this be he?

TFPL, Sept 2003:

I have been given a pedigree from the book "The Record of the House of Gournay" by Daniel Gurnay, pub 1848 an don p. 412 in which it says that
this Sir Christopher only (?) m. Ann Dodge and it was their son John who married Mirabella, co-heri of Sir Thos Ryvett, merchant of London.

To some extent this is confirmed by the 1664 Visitation of Norfolk, p. 169 where Ann Dodge, co-heir of Roger (or John) Dodge of Mannington m. (1) John Potts (with issue) of Mannington, Norfolk whose will was proved on 18 May 1598 and (2) Sir Christopher Heydon of baconsthorpe d. 1623.  Ann is shown to have doed on 28 Jan 1642 aged 75.

But this does not make sense if Agnes Crane was Xtopher's third wife.

So, the genealogy of this man and his family is poorly defined and requires further investigation.
