Ronny Bodine says he inherited Southcourt, Berks from his uncle David Martin, bp of St Davids. Patrick Montague-Smith confirms this, adding that it was in 1328 and that he sold part of the manor in 1333, quoting VCH for Berks where it is called Circourt.
