Notes for Thomas Carew
Ronny Bodine and Thos Spalding say that Thomas' mother was Mercy Hayme and write of her:
"[Not Mercy de la Mere as put forth by HP/1439 and VCH, Surrey, therein combining the names of his 1st wife, Isabel de la Mere and his 2nd.]"
But they do not give any sources for their information, so I have left Thomas' mother to be Isabel de la Mere.
Interestingly Thomas' younger daughter was named Mercy in some documents, though Mary in the (abstracted) will of Nicholas Carew, her grandfather.

Nov 2006, TFPL: I have discovered a further snippet by Robby Bodine in which he says that Thomas’ mother was a daughter of Isabel de la Mere, being named as such on the MI for his parents.
Bodine also gives Thomas and Agnes a third dau. Isabel who probably died as a child.
