Notes for Malyn Oxenbridge
Her burial is in the records of Beddington parish (where?).
Curiously William Durrant Cooper in his article on the Oxenbridges in the Sussex Archaelogical Collections, names her as _Margaret_ Oxenbridge, not Malyn. The Surrey visitation refers to her as “Malin or Maud d. of Sr Robert Twiniho Oxenbrig Knt”; where the ‘Twiniho’ comes from and what it refers to is most mysterious.
Other books say she m. (1) William Cheney but it now seems more likely that it was William Fincham, her nephew who m. William Cheney, a step-nephew.
