Will notes for John Slaney
His will made on 12 Feb 1683/4 and proved 2 July 1685 by ELIZABETH HITCHCOCK and ANN FOUNTAINE.
I give to my niece ELIZABETH FOUNTAIN daughter of my brother JAMES FOUNTAINE Esq, #500 to be paid within one year to her said father and he to her at her age of 21 years or day fo marriage.
To my good friends Mr EDWARD RUDGE and his wife #50 each.
To my godson JOHN SLANY son of my cousing JOHN SLANY #20 and to my goddaughter ANNE ATWOOD daughter of WALTER ATWOOD and my godsons JACOB sone of RICHARD RYLEY and WALTER sone of ROGER GREENE #10 each.
To my cousing WELLS and his wife and Mr Sheldrake and his wife 50/- to buy gloves.
I give and bequeasth all and singular my messuages lands tenements and heriditaments whatsoever and wheresoever to my sisters ANNE the wife of GEORGE HITCHCOCK and ELIZABETH the wife of the said JAMES FOUNTAIN and their heirs to be equally divided between them.
I make my said sisters joint Executrixes.
Witnesses: JOHN WOOD, SUSAN BRON, SUSAN CLARKE, EDWARD AMBROSE
2 July 1685 appeared EDWARD AMBROSE of the parish of St Mary Woolchurch London gent, aged 34 years or thereabouts and deposed that he was very well acquainted with JOHN SLANY of the parish of St Andrew Undershaft London, Merchant deceased etc, etc and that the Christian names of the sisters and executrixes of the said deceasded viz ANNE HITCHCOCK for ELIZABETH HITCHCOCK & ELIZ FOUNTAIN for ANN FOUNTAIN were by mistake inserted.
