He had a grant of arms in 1848 when he was of Forcett Hall, Gilling, Yorks and of Glassell and Elsick, Kincardines, Scotland, Grants Vol XLKVIII, folio 431.
Blazon from Burke’s 1914 LG:
Arms: Per chevron gules and sable, a chevron argent gutée de larmes between three swans of the third within a bordure or, quarterly with Collingwood.
Crest: On a mount, a swan proper, guttée-de-larmes, and in the beak a trefoil slipped azure.
