From Mark Noble's "Memoirs of the persons and families who by females are allied to or descended from the protectorate-House of Cromwell" pub in 1784:

"Sir John Barrington, bart, son and heir of the last baronet of the same names, was elected a member for Newtown, in the isle of Wight, in the seventh and several succeeding parlements of Great-Britain [after the act of Union???].  He married Mary, daughter of Patricius Roberts, esq. who died june 17 1752: sir John himself died in april 1752, leaving no child.  His title descended to his third brother."

Note by TFPL: I think this death date for John Barrington is wrong.  All other sources: Ruvigny, CoKayne, Betham say 1776.  And Musgrave’s Obituary gives 7 May 1776 quoting GM, SM, LM and AR; this may be the burial date of course.
