The Dictionary of British Arms, Medieval Ordinary, Volume Four, p. 189 referencing Leake who reports that this was quartering (2) Venables and (3) Sergeaux, both of whom were heiresses married by earlier Marney ancestors.  His shield survives at South 25 and so must be investigated.  Laude shows two quarterings: Azure two bars Argent and Argent a saltire Sable between 12 trefoils Gules slipped Vert.
