1861 married Mrs Anna Phillips, née Duffield.
In 1871 census was at Chislehampton, Oxon and he and his wife had with them a step-daughter, Adela M Phillips aged 21, born in Culham, Oxon. The household consisted of 4 female servants and one footman.
In the 1901 census he, his wife and Percy Powys, a nephew and son of his youngest brother Wm Cunliffe P., were at Rofford House, Chalgrove, Oxon where he was a Clergyman of the Church of England and a Farmer aged 72, born in Pangbourne, Berks.
Also in the 1901 census his household consisted of:
(a) he and his wife
(b) this nephew, employed as a farmer,
(c) 3 servants,
(d) At Briaris on the farm, two carters on the farm plus one teamster (plus wife and four more children)
(e) at Rofford Farm, a farmer with a sister for housekeeper and a servant)
(f) at Rofford Farm Cottage, a carter with wife and 3 young children
(g) at another cottage, a farm bailiff and a housekeeper,
(h) at Rofford Farm Stables, a coachman.
In all something like an economic unit of 11 people.
In 1911 he was (still?) at Rofford Frm, Chalgrove with a visitor, Anne Louisa Butler, and two servants.
