The 1674 Ferry Disaster for Goring

 A while back I asked a Goring resident or two if they knew anything of the Ferry disaster of a few centuries ago. The reply was not much but they had heard of it. But we, my parents, siblings and I, knew about it as we had long had a printed account, framed and hanging from a nail in our dining room.
