This 6 to 8 year-old is named on the photo as William Reginald P-L. But he was born in 1855
so would have had this photo taken in 1861-3 and was not in Wallingford, where it was taken, at that time. Neither
could it be the two younger sons Richard or Philip as the elder was still only 5 when they left Wallingford. So it has
to be Reginald who was 4 when they got to Wallingford and 8 when they left. |

This photo has an elegant monogram above it: the letters C, C, L, P intertwined.
This has to be Christine Cecilia Lybbe-Powys as that surname was used occasionally by her husband up to 1882.
More evidence lies in Bridget spotting a second photo of her at 25B, below. |

Christine Cecilia Lybbe-Powys in Cannes. Bridget spotted that this was the same lady as in Photo 11A, which rubbed
out a previous identification of this lady as Sarah Bartholomew. Cannes was a mystery until it was realised it could have been her.
She and her husband moved to France in 1878 or so and could easily have visited Cannes. |
