Notes for Sir John Berkeley |
He and Frances had issue: John, Joan, Katherine and Margaret. His son John alienated Beverston to Sir John Poyntz, his cousin and who then ditto to Henry Fleetwood. This John eventually went to Virginia and was there killed in a battle with the American Indians.
John m. (2) an unknown woman of whom Smyth says "whose ill governed life after her husbands decease is unworthy of any memorial in these relations". They had no issue.
John m. Mary Snell and had 6 sons and 4 daus.
