Did he have a nephew Sir John Verney who wrote a will leaving something to his uncle Sir Ralph in 1525? (Test Vet, p. 613.)
It is very likely that he was the Sir Ra Verney yonger who was a knight in the queen's retinue at the Field of the Cloth of Gold in 1520.
