Notes for Sir Francis Goodwin |
I have a somewhat illegible copy of his will dated ?? August 1634 and referring to himself as 69 or above years old, his son as 40 and Jane his his granddaughter as 15. He refers to "his dear and only son Arthur Goodwin..." Was it "only" or "only surviving"?
His will also mentions his daughter Margaret and her son(s) and his granddaughter Jane to his son Arthur. |
Arms Blazon |
Per pale or and gules, a lion rampant between three fleurs-de-lys all counterchanged. |
