DNB: The Lucy article says she was daughter of Sir Nicholas Arnold .
Sir Nicholas Arnold's article implies she was the daughter of his son Rowland... As does Smyth's Lives of the Berkeleys, Vol II, p. 186, confirmed by Alice Fairfax-Lucy's "Charlecote and the Lucys", p. 86.
And finally ... The 1683 Visitation of Monmouthshire, p. 203, says she was the daughter of Rowland. And shows her as generation no 28 of a very, very long tree. |
