In her will dated 11th March 1981 she appointed as executors her husband Sidney Edward Lay and her sons John Richard lay and Anthony Edward Lay. In fact only her sons, the ‘surviving executors’ administered her estate, so it sound as if her husband died after 1981 and before 1984. Her will was commendably short and she listed:
1. Her husband Sidney Edward Lay,
2. Her son John Richard Lay,
3. Her son Anthony Edward Lay,
4. Her daughter-in-law April Lay, probably wife of Anthony Edward,
Anthony Edward was her residual legatee.
