BP reports “Beatrice Evelyn; m 3 Aug 1874 Sir Harry Samuel Cumming Clarke Jervoise, 5th Bt, and d 4 July 1943, leaving issue (see 1933 edn)”
______________________
In 1911 she and her husband had their daughter Kathleen and her husband staying with them in a large household. See their daughter’s Notes for details. Her surname was entered there as Jervoise.

Not found in 1939 Register. So I widened her range of birth years and found this person at The Manor, Ewelme, Oxfordshire:
First name(s) Last name(s) Birth date Sex Occupation Marital status Schedule Schedule sub number
Beatrice G De? Jervis 28 Nov 1859 Female Private Means Single 27 1
Though I also found a Beatrice Jervis living at the Manor, Ewelme in 1911 who was not her, as Beatrice Evelyn was in Idsworth House, Horndean, Blendworth, Hampshire.

Death not found on FindMyPast,
One death on FreeBMD for Beatrice Jervoise from 1920 to 1950, of a Beatrice A L Jervoise in 1944 in Basingstoke.
Grave found on Find-a-Grave with a search for ‘Clarke-Jervoise’ and shows a picture of her memorial stone (on her husband’s much earlier stone) and gave her death date as ‘7 JULY 1943’.
This memorial led to finding her entry on the Probate Index, see her Will Notes.
Her death was at Fillongley Hall which was the home of the Adderley, barons Norton, family into which her sister Grace had married. And she is indeed to be found in their 1939 Register listing as:
FIRST NAME(S) LAST NAME(S) DOB SEX OCCUPATION MARITAL STATUS SCHEDULE SCHEDULE SUB NUMBER
Henry A Adderly [sic] 26 Sep 1854 M D L - J P M 131 1
Grace Adderly [sic] 02 Sep 1854 F Wife M 131 2
Jervoise Beatrice E (B) Clarke 03 Jul 1853 F Private Means W 131 3
See her sister’s Notes for further details. But it does give a birth date for her.

Finally I found her death on the online GRO index, with only the tiniest of spelling errors and only using the second half of her double barrel surname:
Name: Age at Death (in years):
JERVOICE, BEATRICE EVELYN CLARKE 90
GRO Reference: 1943 S Quarter in MERIDEN Volume 06D Page 514
This mis-spelling was replicated in the index provided by FindMyPast and is indeed on the old printed index.

Mon Inscripts notes for Beatrice Evelyn Stopford Sackville (born Stopford)
Her memorial stone at Blendworth, East Hampshire District, Hampshire, below her husband’s, reads:
AND OF HIS WIFE
BEATRICE EVELYN
DIED 4 JULY 1943
AGED 80
Hoever the day of the death is unclear. At first it looks like the vertical stroke of a ‘7’. But the probate death date is 4th July. And this sloping stroke could also be the slanting bit of a ‘4’ with the rest fractured off (the engraving is all done in relief). So I have now changed this to a ‘4’.
