There are no James (only) entries in the 1939 register for people living in England and Wales and born in 1911 but there are 2 entries with 1910. One has him born in Jan 2010 which is clearly not him. The other has him born on 20 Dec 1910 but he was single, so while it might be him, the above would not have been his marriage. I suspect James may have been called up in 1939 so was not on the 1939 Register, which does not disallow the above marriage completely.
