“were married in this Church by Banns with Consent of

“March in the Year One thousand eight hundred and thirty two
“ By Me Frans Thompson
“This Marriage was solemnized between us: Richard Kyte Mary Hartshorn
“In the Presence of: Margaret Hartshorn Barnabas Hartshorn
“No 454
Two points of interest in the above:
First that the couple and their witnesses all signed their own names. R ichard Kyte very clearly spelled his name as Kyte.
Second that one of the witnesses was Barnabas Hartshorn; I presume that Richard and Mary’s last son, Barnabas, was named after this Barnabas. So might this barnabas have been mary’s father and margaret her mother.
