I wonder if these births were her children, all with mother’s maiden name of Maclean?  But in 1915, at the birth of the first, she was 32 and in 1922 she was 39, so all possible:  Though they could be different families.

Might there have been more than one Henderson to Maclean marriage?  In fact there is only the one Henderson to Maclean marriage from 1900 to 1920.  So here’s their probable children:

Last name  First name(s)  Year Of Birth  Year Of Death  Year  Location
Henderson  Susan V        1915           —              1915  St. George Hanover Square, London
Henderson  Rosemary G     1917           —              1917  St. George Hanover Square, London
Henderson  Ian A          1918           —              1918  Windsor, Berkshire
Henderson  Adrian D       1922           —              1922  Chertsey, Surrey

The 1921 census will be of vital importance for identifying her family, to be released in early 2022.

I can find two subsequent marriages of Gladys R Henderson, one in 1934 to Murrough J Wilson in Kensington and one in 1942 to William T Thomson in Newcastle upon Tyne.  The former could just be hers if her first husband had died or they divorced.

I can find no death for a Gladys R Henderson.

In 1939 there was a Gladys R Wilson, married woman born on 13 June 1883, the same as her baptism record above, living at
Windlesham Park, Windlesham, Bagshot, Surrey.  Included in the houses was Rosemary Orssich (Henderson) born on 9 Jan 1917, one of the above children above; and there was a marriage in 1941 between Rosemary G Henderson and Robert F Orssich in Windsor.  I think Gladys R Wilson has to be her.

And in 1965 Gladys Wilson has a probate record with Brigadier Barrington Wilson being her executor; could be a step-son.

I wonder if I need to spend money on certificates?

Later I found a probate entry for her death on 28 Jan 1953 for one Gladys Rhoda Wilson, it has to be her.

In 1946 there is a probate record for sir Murrough John Wilson of Cliffe Hall Manfield Darlington who died on 30 April 1946.  I’ll order his and her 1952 wills.

Her probate index:

Wilson dame Gladys Rhoda of Windlesham Park Windlesham Surrey widow died 28 January 1953 at Kennilworth Nursing Home Kennilworth District South Africa  Probate London 5 May to William Wilberforce Brabner company director and Arthur Alexander Pitcairn solicitor.  Effects £39904 16s. 3d.

Could this be a coincidence with two Gladys Rhoda Wilsons?
No: her first husband died at Windlesham Park and seems to have left it to her.

In her will dated 26 February 1947 she appointed William Wilberforce Brabner and Arthur Alexander Pitcairn solicitor, as her executors and named the following in her will:

1,  William Wilberforce Brabner
2.  Arthur Alexander Pitcairn
3.  Her son Ian Alexander
4.  Her son Adrian Donald
5.  her daughter SDusan
6.  Her daughter Rosemary,
7.  Her Step-daughter Mrs Geraldine Walrond,
8. Her step-daughter Mrs katherine Leveson-Gower,
9. Her son Ian’s wife,
10. Her son Adrian’s wife.

Plus various bequests to her staff and local charities.

It interest me to note that her will was witnessed first of all by HSS Trotter, who I reckon must be her cousin Hugh Stuart Stucley Trotter who was still worming in the business that Ernest Balfour Trotter, a facvoured brother of my gt-grandfather Henry Eden Trotter, joined in the mid nineteenth century.
