Notes for John Sheen
In his will he wrote that he was of Dorchester, Oxon but referred to his freehold yarda(?) land in the parish of Long Wittenham, Berks. He then referred to his son John to whom he left this Long Wittenham property. This established, I think, that he was the father of John Sheen who was by that time the occupier of Long - or Little - Wittenham.
In the will he also names a son Nathaniel, a brother in law Francis Saffar(?), s sister in law, Jane Williams widow, the poor of Little Wittenham, Berks
