No death record can be found but there is a memorial gravestone for a death on 17 Aug 1982 in Oystermouth Cemetery, Swansea. But it refers to daughters Joyce and Barbara and a sister Celia, so does not sound like her death.

She was alive in 1944 as an executor for her father then.

No Cohen births with a Mildred mother found in India birth records, nor on British birth records with a mother's maiden name of Minshall. There was one Cohen birth in India in 1935+/-5 years but no mother's name was given and the birth was in 1930.
I suspect I will have to get the will of her sister Elizabeth to see if this makes any mention of Mildred or any nephews and nieces.

Yes, indeed, Lady Baston settled in Australia and died there, on a date as yet unknown.
She and their two sons survived her husband's death in 1992. Were they born in Singapore when he was working there?

"Cohen Henry Bolton: b. 1903 London. Educated City of London School and Merton College Oxford, To Singapore 1936 with wife Mildred. Wharf dept, Singapore Harbour Board. Escaped in SHB vessel Bagan from Singapore to Sumatra the to Ceylon n the Modasa. Changed surname from Cohen to Basten. Mildred was evacuated with son Anthony in Ulysses, arriving Fremantle WA 31.12.41. Returned to Singapore 1946-1951 Chairman & General Manager, Singapore and Penang Harbour Board. To Australia to examine port congestion. Later Australian Universities Commission. Vice Chancellor, Adelaide University 1958-1967. KB 1966 CMG 1947. Retired to East Lindfield NSW. Died 8.4.92(88). Son John b.1948."
That gives us the two sons, Anthony and John.
