In 1891 he had changed his name to Hody, possibly under some will name and arms clause.  His wife Emma had died by then and he had a son W P Hody with him, as were his widowed daughter and six children, for which see her Notes.

There is but one entry in Burke's Landed Gentry, for 1894 which has an entry for Hody of Chedinton.  But this is in 2 volumes and I only have Vol 2!  Vol 1 would probably explain the change of name.
