Notes for Rev Dr Thomas Morres D.D.
In the baptism of their son Robert, he was said to be D.D - Doctor of Divinity I presume.  In Alumni Oxonienses for Robert he was said to be a doctor which is not quite the same thing.  Sounds like a misunderstanding.

He is on the CCED database as vicar of Hinckley,

BA: 1737, Jesus, Oxon
MA: 1739, Jesus, Oxon
DD: 1752

Deacon: 1737

He is also in Foster Al Ox,
_______________

Their children from Leicestershire Baptisms:

Morres  Elisabeth  1756  —  1756 Hinckley, St Mary's, Leicestershire
Morres  Elisabeth  —     —  1756  Hinckley, Holy Trinity, Leicestershire,
Morres  Robert     1757  —  1757 Hinckley, St Mary's, Leicestershire
(Morris  Merriah   1770  —  1770 Market Harborough, Leicestershire - not theirs)
Morres  Anne       1759  —  1759 Hinckley, St Mary's, Leicestershire
Morres  Anne       —     —  1759 Hinckley, Holy Trinity, Leicestershire

Two of the above are duplicates, dunno why.

Last name                    Morres
Age                          47
Birth year                   1714
Death year                   1761
Burial place                 Hinckley, St Mary's
Denomination                 Anglican
County                       Leicestershire
Country                      England
Event type                   Parish Registers
Archive Record Office for   Leicestershire, Leicester & Rutland
Archive reference            DE1135/24
Record set                 Leicestershire Burials

But the actual register has this entry:

Buried 1761
...
March 14  Thos Morres Dr.D. & Chaplain to ye Princess Dowager of Wales

And in the list of rectors at the end of a later burial register book:

Thomas Morres, D.D. 1752. died March 16 1761, aged 47

So it looks like he was buried around 15 Mar 1761.

I think the 9 Jul 1761 date in CCED is that on which the death was notified to the bishop and led to the appointment to the next vicar.
