FindMyPast shows 822 marriages of Roy Townsends and thus is impossible to determine if any of these was his. His father’s will might add some useful information.
There is 1 death of ‘Roy Townsend’ up to 2004, but the birth date is for 1 May 1931 so I don’t think it is his.
The will index shows two Roy Townsend deaths in 2012, both registered in Manchester and a further Manchester death in 2015. I doubt any of these are his, but I could be wrong!
