Although she was born in June 1916, should could easily have been registered in July onwards, making this registration entry totally correct for date.
Note, though, that this birth entry has a second name with the initial letter of ‘M’; this agrees with the entry on the marriage index pages. Sundry web sites give this second name as Meriel.

No deaths found on FindMypast’s death index for any jean Catlow with a birth date between 2014 and 2018 inclusive, but that index finishes in 2005. There is a death of a Jean Catlow on 11 July 2003 in Machester on the probate index, but she would have to have been born ouside the range of 1914-1918 inclusive.
Another Jean Catlow died in Manchester on 18 Apr 2012,
A Jean Freda Catlow died in Leeds on 28 September 2013.
She could, just, still be alive.
In fact the Daily Telegraph obituary for her husband of 4 Sep 2014 reports that she died in 2010 and was survived by their three daughters.

His D.T. obit says he wrote an autobiography “A Sailor’s Survival”, published in 1997.
