Good news: he was still at the same address and we are to meet up to try to resolve the remainin unclarities of his wider family.
Stage 1: his wife is Diana and this give a bare two marriages for a Philip E SCott, one in 1973 to a Peel, when he would have been 26, and one in 1983 to a Jarzebowski, when he would have been 36. I think I will wait a few days, meet him and save myself the money for a marriage certificate!
Verdict from her: they married in 1973 and she was Peel.
Stage 2: Looked for the children of both couples and the first marriage has none anywhere near Wiltshire; the second has no children.
