They had two daughters in the Hants and Wilts areas so this is looking very likely.
I suspect the only way to resolve this is to get marriage and birth certificates.

Fortunately Richard Bond has written in to explain that his grandmother was a friend of the Formbys and he confirmed that Richard did marry and have two daughters, so I am entering them in and will search for the next generation.

Will notes for Richard Formby
His probate inex:
Formby, Richard of Althorne Shipton Bellinger Tidworth Hampshire died 8 June 1958 near hardwicke Stud Farm near Mapledurham Oxfordshire Probate London 1 December to Eric Lonsdale Formby retired lieutenant colonel H.M. army and Henry Earle Manisty solicitor.
Effects £19664 13s. 4d.
Memo A Chancery Order dated 30 April 1963 under the Inheritance (Fam P??) Act 1938 as amended and annexed to will and codicil.
I can only presume that Lt-Col E L Formby was an uncle of his. Or and elder half-brother?
A quick look showed that Eric was born in 1896 in Sussex and died in 1968, also in Sussex. He appears aged 4 in the 1901 census, the son of Reve Richard Formby, rector of Hartfield, East Grinstead. So he is looking like a cousin of Richard.
