In 1903 he and his brother Edward Powys received some GWR shares from his mother’s estate. They were living at Nythfa, Brecon.
In 1931 after his death on 3rd April 1931 his GWR shares appear to have been transferred to Col Albert Canning, CMG, He, Geoffry, was described on the GWR register as “of Caldicott Castle, Monmouthshire, a retired solicitor who died at Victoria Nurses Home, Pembroke Dock, St Mary UD, Pembroke”
In 1932 a transfer was made to Anna Jesup Cobb, his wife, of Caldicot Castle. A George Tudor de Winton, solicitor of Lion Street, Brecon, and obviously a relation, was involved in this transaction.
