I searched for her marriages from 1939, when she had been singel to 1865, when she could not have borne children and found two marriages in the same year, only:

As of this moment in time the first looks slightly more likely.

No death found: perhaps she did marry. But she was still a spinster when her mother died in 1962, from the Probate admin, which also gave her second name of Evelyn.
The nearest is that in 1996, when she would have been 82, an Elsie M scrivener married an Marice E Dent. Not very likely!
No death in FindMyPast’s World indices either.
I suppose she could have survived to 2006 or after when present availability of registration records ceases.
