While there are records of his birth, the index does not include the parents and the 1861 census is missing for him and his parents.  So the public free records do not identify him as a child of Thomas William and Octavia Rawson.  But Burke asserts his parentage in the 1914 LG and this will do for the moment!

In 1871 he, William Busfeild Rawson, was a lodger in West Bradford and an articled clerk.  But no William Busfeild found in later censuses, though there were a few William Bs.

There are four William B Rawson deaths on FreeBMD, one with a death in 1924 and showing an age of 73 which gives a birth year of 1851, two years out.  The informant could easily have got it wrong.  The other three death indexes have very different ages at death that eliminate them:

This deserves a death certificate.

But in fact on the death certificate his name was William Barry Rawson so was not William Busfield.  Perhaps the latter died abroad?
