In 1871 and 1881 she was with her parents, aged 9 and 19 respectively, both in Leeds.
In 1888 a Nary Mapleton married a Reginald Anstruther Farrar.
In 1901 Mary Farrar was Head of house in Stamford Lincs, aged 39 and born in Meanwood, Yorks. She was married, not a widow, though husband not present. Children were:

Valentine 6
Angela 3
all born in Stamford, Lincs.

In 1911 she was at 21 Gayton Rd, Harrow, Middlesex with 2 children, Valentine and Angela and 3 servants. Still no husband. Married for 22 years with 4 children, all living.
