No Alfred J W Jones registrations but loads of Alfred Johns though none in Beds. He and his two next siblings were stated in the 1901 census to have been born in Clapham, Beds but only the second two were registered, in Bedford district.

In the 1901 but not found in the 1911 census.

March 2013, TFPL: The certificate has arrived and is is for an Alfred John William Jones, so is not the right person.  Se we can forget what is below this.

There are of the order of 50 Jones births with Wakefield mothers from 1924 to 1950.  While Alfred both married and died in Lewisham, there are no births in Lewisham so it is tempting to see the odd Jones with a second or third initial of ‘W’ for Webber as his children:
