Notes for Helen Boyd
Her marriage is not 100% clear:

On the one hand her brother Robert Yoyd of Badenheath is reported in Paterson’s genealogical History of Ayr to have left a ring to the “Laird of Hessilheid, my sister sone … my god sone”.  So her name is not clear and from SP he six sisters.

On the other hand in Scots Peerage in the Boyd earl of Kilmarnock article, Helen, day of Robert, fifth lord Boyd, was given by a charter between Hugh Mongoerie of Hessil head and this Robert Boyd, ten marks of land in Renfrewshire, presumably as part of a marriage contract.

This is good enough evidence to make her hugh’s wife until something better turns up.
