Notes for Thomas Nelson
In Bysshe’s visitation on 23 March 1664, Thomas was 24 years old; but this does not tie up well with his mother’s reported death in 1639.
His male line died out but the line eventually continued in some Kerr-Kelsons who seem to have sold Challdeworth around 1840 and later are to be found in Australia. The last serious information about them I have found is Burke’s Landed gentry of 1847. I think they appear later in Victoria, Australia.
There are a few mentions for members of the family around 1870 in newspapers.
One Kerr-Nelson daughter married a Capt Davison and had issue.
