Notes for John Neville
His mother was Elizabeth, wife of Sir Robert de Ferrers. Her IPM is in 12 HIV No 21 and lists the Overesley manor (with the honour of Leicester in Warks.
VCH says that Elizabeth had two daus: Eliz, wife of John, lord Greystoke and Mary, wife of Ralph Nevil (they say he was a son of the earl of Warwick, but this has to be rubbish). Anyhow Oversley was assigned to Mary and thus her husband Ralph de jure uxor.
