In 1891 there was  John Champion who was a soap manufacturer in Barton Regis, Glos.

In 1901 there was a John K Champion living in Redland Bristol and a retired soap manufacturer, born in Bristol, with his family.

In 1911, the still retired soap manufacturer was John Kenrick Champion so must be our man. They had had four children of which three only survived and had been married for 28 years.  The son who was at home had Kenrick for a second name.

Now for the details.

In 1901 there were only three children, the same as those found in the 1891 and 1911 censuses.  So the fourth, deceased, child (see 1911) has yet to be found.  They were living as Castle Belle Vue, as in 1911.

While the known children have the forenames of one or the other of their distaff parents’ surnames (Mortimer or Kenrick), I can find no births in Glos with either of these forenames; so, short of getting s load of birth certificates, I have no idea who the fourth child was.
