5 Jan 1901: To be Sec Lt of The Loyal North Lancashire Regt on augmentation, from the 1st Vol Batallion.

29 May 1911: Military wedding to Miss Bertha Cochran, daughter of late Lieut Alexander Cochran, RN, of Ashkirk, N.B.

13 Jul 1912: Promoted to Captain, still with the LNL Regt.

15 Aug 1919: In Memoriam notice: “In proud and loving memory of Geoffrey Rowley Conwy, Major, Loyal North Lancashire regt, “missing” in the fight for Chimuk Bair, Gallipoli on 10th Aug 1915, and now believed to have been killed on that day.”

8 Jun 1911: The Times reported this wedding, adding that Bertha was eldest dau., that Lt Cochran was of Ashkirk, Scotland, that Mrs Cochran was of Featherwood, Ryde and Essenside, Southsea, and that the marriage was at St Thomas’ church, Portsmouth.  They got presents, silver, from the tenantry on the Cwm and Bodrhyddon estates, from the employees at Bodrhyddon and from the offices of the Loyal North Lancashire Regt.
