In the 1939 register, there is no change entered for her surname so she probably never married.
Well that was a load of rubbish! She married in 1946, soon after her father died.
But neither can any children be found nor her death as Wakeman. Nor any subsequent marriage as Wakeman. Might they have gone abroad? Nothing found on FindMyPast’s world records either.
The only possible guide is her mother’s will. So I’ve ordered that.
But chased a few entries for her husband first and found that he was a baronet, in Burke’s Peerage and had died with no children. This gave Pamela’s address as still at the place where her husband died.
This then led to her probale, so see that.
