Notes for Olwen ‘Olwyn’ Myfanwy Violet Eames
On her marriage certificate, her father is Percy Henry Eames who was retired. He might have retired at the age of 60 and therefor might have been born in 1878 or earlier:
Surname First name(s) District Vol Page
Births Mar 1879
Eames Percy Henry Fareham 2b 565
And this might be him in the 1881 census:

Sarah EAMES Wife M Female 30 Fareham, Hampshire, England Dressmaker

Olwyn’s birth is not to be found on FreeBMD from 1900 to 1920 and searching as ‘* v* eames’.
It is unlikely she was old enough to have been on the 1911 census (but she was!).
But the following might just be her birth:
Surname First name(s) District Vol Page
Births Sep 1909
EAMES Olwen Myfanwy V Pontypridd 11a 527
______________________________________________
However this looks like Percy Henry’s marriage:
Surname First name(s) District Vol Page
Marriages Sep 1908
EAMES Percy Henry I. Wight 2b 1363
WILTSHIRE Emily I. Wight 2b 1363
And this makes it possible that their first children were born at around that time.
The curious thing about this record is that the wife does not match up with the forenames of his wife in the 1911 census, which were Violet Elizabeth. However she gave her birth as in the isle of Wight so I just wonder if FreeBMD was slightly confused between marriages on the same page. This is the other marriage in the Isle of Wight for that quarter:
Surname First name(s) District Vol Page
Marriages Sep 1908
CORBOULD Violet Elizabeth I. Wight 2b 1333
TUCKER Cecil John I. Wight 2b 1333
Violet Corbould’s page number could be 1883 or 1383, but not 1333.
Emily Wiltshire’s page number could be 1383 or 1363.

Here is the 1911 census for the above Olwyn:
Schedule type Last names First names Sex Birth year Age in 1911 District / other County

____________
I have yet to look for her death but it was during WW2. She died in Q1 of 1945. I think her birth and death certs are needed.
May 2009: Death cert obtained.
She had been living, probably with her parents, at 35 Queensbury Rd, Salisbury. She dies of (a) Carcinomatosis and (b) Cancer of the carvix. Her father, of the same address, registered the death.
____________
There was in 1937 another Turner-Eames marriage, between Robert Turner and Dorothy P Eames in Q4 of 1937 at South Shields.
The following births with Turner surname and Eames mother were registered between 1938 and 1944:
Surname First name(s) Mother District Vol Page
Births Jun 1938 (>99%)
Turner Dorothy A Eames Durham N.E. 10a 1201
Births Sep 1942 (>99%)
Turner Maureen A Eames Brentford 3a 585

Her gt-neice Sue has heard from within her family that Olwyn may have been a bit of an artist.
Sue managed to find a photo from within her family’s collections and sent me a scanned copy, so it will appear on the website at the next update.
