Notes for Roger Salwey
A Roger Salwey m. in Q3 of 1908 in Church Stretton but neither FreeBMD nor The Genealogist also show the wife, so I’m not sure if this is he:

Marriages Sep 1908   (>99%)
SALWEY Roger Ch. Stretton 6a 1295

Church Stretton is in Shropshire.
______________

But in 1911 the census gives the forenames of his bride:

______________

The first search was to see if Alice Violet was living at Church Stretton, Shropshire in the 1901 census.  This returned four plain Alices but no Alice V or Alice Violet:

The next search for his wife was for her birth record in the index using FreeBMD:

This turned up but one candidate:

Surname   First name(s)      District   Vol  Page
Births Sep 1880   (>99%)
Champion Alice Violet E. Retford 7b 14

And the Gamston for her birth place is indeed a parish within the registration district of East Retford.  Sounds like Bingo!
_______________

And then a search for an Alice Champion born in c.1880 produceed this in the 1901 census:

Surname  Forename  Age  Relation  Occupation  Birth Place

Champion Alice V 20 Visitor Retford, Nottinghamshire

She was satying with a family called Healing, millers and land owners in Oldfield, tewkesbury, Glos.  I think this all confirms the wife’s name well enough.
______________

And after all that labour no births could be found on FreeBMD for any children with surname of Salwey and mother’s maiden name of Champion.  Perhaps he was sterile from his parents being first cousins?
_______________

His death:

Surname   First name(s)   Age   District   Vol  Page
Deaths Mar 1962   (>99%)
SALWEY Roger 92 Ludlow 9a 158

Notes for Roger & Alice Violet (Family)
Her marriage registration date:

Surname   First name(s)      District   Vol  Page
Marriages Sep 1908   (>99%)
CHAMPION Alice Violet    Ch. Stretton 6a  295

This compares with the entry for her husband’s marriage of:

Surname   First name(s)      District   Vol  Page
Marriages Sep 1908   (>99%)
SALWEY Roger Ch. Stretton 6a 1295

Note the loss of the ‘1’ in the page number in her record.

Her record has indeed been correctly transcribed from the index page, as had her husband’s.  So I’ve left a PostEm on the FreeBMD site against both.
