Notes for Richard Goddard
The Berks visitation, vol 2, p. 234 has a note by Ashmole on the Goddard arms which the Yates quartered twice. It is rather abbreviated so my trancription may not be correct:
“This 3rd quartering is quartered by Goddard of East Woodhey in Hants who give the crescent [drawing of ermine, etc] not by that family of the Goddards whose dau. and heir Yates married.”
And Ashmole (I think) also quotes the two arms as described by Robert Dale, Richmond herald as:
1. The modern Goddard: gules a chevron vairy between three crescents argent, on each an ermine spot sable.
2. The ancient Goddard, Azure, five lozenges (or fusils) in fess between 3 falcons heads erased or.
Though this order appears to me to be contrary to Ashmole’s note!

The Wilts visitation pedigrees of 1623 has a Richard Goddard of Upham Wilts, p. 66. Unfortunately while it shows 3 sons, there is only one dau. (Elizabeth) so I do not know if this is him or not. But if Joan is correctly recorded as “dau. and heir” then this Wiltshire Goddard is not the right one.

Arms Generally notes for Richard Goddard
The Goddard arms are shown twice as quarters with those of Yate, p. 234 of Berks 1634 visitation. I suspect only the first is correct:
Gules a chevron vairy between three crescents argent, on each an ermine spot sable
Armorial Blazon notes for Richard Goddard
Gules a chevron vairy between three crescents argent, on each an ermine spot sable.
Blazon source notes for Richard Goddard
